the balancing barn is built by the dutch firm mvrdv on a stunning site beside a suffolk wildlife nature reserve overlooking a small lake. 30m in length, the barn cantilevers over a slope, with 50% of the building hanging in free space and giving wide views over the suffolk landscape. it is clad in reflective stainless steel which reflects the surrounding nature and changing seasons. 4 en-suite bedrooms, kitchen and a large dining room accommodate up to 8 people.
