Iran cleric urges unity against enemies
A senior Iranian cleric has called for unity and vigilance among the Iranians in order to foil the plots devised by the enemies of the Islamic Republic.
Addressing worshippers at the University of Tehran on Friday, Ayatollah Muhammad Emami-Kashani said that unity and solidarity among Iranians would thwart the enemies' plots against the country, IRIB reported.
Tehran’s interim Friday Prayers leader went on to say that complete unity and integrity in Iran would help the country proceed ahead in face of challenges and the enemies' intrigues.
He also congratulated the Iranian nation on the auspicious birth anniversary of the 12th Shia Imam, Muhammad al-Mahdi (PBUH).
Millions of Shia Muslims celebrate Imam Mahdi’s birth anniversary worldwide, holding festivities and praying for his return so that oppression and tyranny will come to an end.
Earlier this month, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei warned of plots hatched by the United States and its allies to inflict damage on Iran, saying such attempts are doomed to failure.
