Tehran Computer Game Festival kicks off
The First Tehran Computer Game Festival kicked off at Tehran’s Milad Tower here on Thursday where over 90 Iranian productions are on display for five days.
This is the first event arranged by the National Foundation for Computer Games where Iranian game producers are taking part, the Persian service of IRNA reported on Friday.
The major section of the festival represents 92 works out of which 54 are competing in the large game section, 22 in small game, 8 in online game, and 8 in the mobile game section.
The side section includes the different categories of cartoon competition, student section, as well as exhibition of new products, family, entertainment, world without computer games, and several workshops.
New mobile games as well as foreign games will also be displayed at the exhibit.
Also included is a technology section where software and hardware companies involved in producing computer games will display their products.
At the different sections of world without computer games, a large space is dedicated to families visiting the exhibit to make use of old games where there is no sign of a computer.
Several Iranian and foreign masters are invited to hold workshops during the festival. Representatives from seven countries including Japan, Germany, Lebanon and Bulgaria are present at the event.
