Leading actors rush to raise funds for children deprived of education
Leading actors Hamid Farrokhnejad and Hamed Behdad will be taking part in a charity program organized for the benefit of children deprived of the basic right to an education.
Arranged by the Association for Protection of Refugee Women and Children, the one-day program on Friday will offer traditional foods to help raise funds for those children deprived of an education, director of the association Fatemeh Ashrafi told the Persian service of ISNA.
“We have collected over 2,000 children from across the country being deprived of an education and have arranged the program to help draw the attention of people for their support,” she said.
“We are sure these types of programs will be highly influential. We believe that the education of those children deprived of it is a public concern, and by participating in these gatherings public collaboration would be reinforcd,” she added.
“A variety of different dishes are being prepared by a group of volunteers. They have also proposed to offer handicrafts for sale at the market, she said, adding that actors Farrokhnejad and Behdad have announced their interest in the program.
“The association is making its best efforts for children’s education as their first right and people can enthusiastically help in these programs,” she said.
The program will be held on January 14 at No.12 tower of Hormozan Complex, located on Hormozan St, Shahrak-e Gharb neighborhood running from 9 am to 8 pm.
