Perchance in this disastrous state, was the opening (of the work) of Hafiz,
First Mesra Translation:
Whom, into the wine of Magians (consuming with the fire of divine love), the destiny of eternity without beginning-- cast.
Second Mesra Translation:

**- شايد حل مسائل دشواري كه حافظ با آنها مواجه است در اين بوده كه زهد و ورع او تباه شود; از اين جهت ، گناهان او از روز ازل بخشوده شده و به سوي مي مغان رانده شده است ، **
