Killing of Palestinian protester unprovoked

man

Video recording disproves Israeli forces' claim that they were incited to kill a Palestinian protesting Tel Aviv's erection of 'Apartheid Wall'.

On Friday, during what was described by the military as a 'violent' demonstration, Israeli forces gunned down a demonstrator whom, they alleged, was hurling stones.

However, a video footage shows the man rolling in his blood pouring out of the gun-inflicted wounds without having thrown anything at the soldiers.

Bassam Ibrahim, 31, died afterwards in hospital from the injuries the "40 mm bullet, special/long range" ammunition round had left in his stomach.

The protest in Bil'in, in the West Bank, had targeted the 723 km separation wall in the nearby village of Ni'lin. The barrier encroaches upon vast expanses of the Palestinian land under the pretext of 'protecting' Israeli settlers - who on the same day had killed a Palestinian.
