Nazeri to Perform in Turkey
Iranian vocalist Shahram Nazeri is set to hold a concert in Turkey to commemorate the death anniversary of mystic Persian poet Mowlavi.
The renowned artist will perform traditional Iranian music; his lyrics will be from the poems composed by the 13th-century poet, Mowlavi.
Nazeri will be accompanied by Mowlavi group musicians, including Siavash Nazeri (Daf), Shahram Gholami (Lute), Saber Nazargahi (Tar), Negar Kharkan (Kamancheh) and Saeed Masoumi (Santour).
Shahram Nazeri, also known as the ‘Persian Nightingale’, received the French Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres Medal in 2007 for promoting traditional Persian music.
