President back home from Mecca

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad wound up his five-day visit to Saudi Arabia and returned home Saturday morning. President Ahmadinejad arrived in Saudi Arabia Monday to perform annual Hajj rituals.

While in Mina, the President discussed issues of the Islamic world with Saudi King Abdullah on Friday.

During his stay, President Ahmadinejad conferred with Maldives President and Bangladesh Prime Minister in Arafat Desert on the sidelines of the Hajj rituals. They discussed expansion of bilateral cooperation in all areas.

The President also met with a large group of Iranian pilgrims in Mina.

He also met and conferred with head of the Lebanese Hezbollah's representative office in Mecca, Sheikh Muhammed Yazbak on Wednesday.

Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, Majlis Vice-Speaker Mohammad-Hassan Abutorabi-Fard and Presidential advisor Mojtaba Samareh-Hashemi accompanied President Ahmadinejad in this spiritual visit.

President Ahmadinejad visited Saudi Arabia twice in the past one year.

He visited the country in March 2007 to review issues of mutual interest with senior Saudi officials.

The President also went to Riyadh in November 2007, to attend the third annual summit of Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
