The Ninth Infallible - Hazrat Imam Musa Kazim (A.S

He was born on Sunday , the 7th of Safar , year 128 Hijrah in the land of Abwa situated between Mecca and Medina from his mother named "Hameeda." He became Imam at the age of twenty one years.
Abu Baseer said , "We were traveling to perform Hajj along with Imam Jaffar Sadiq (A.S.). No sooner we had reached a place known as "Abwa , " when after the breakfast was over , Imam was informed that God had bestowed him a son.
He happily and merrily got up to see his wife "Hameeda." Not very long afterwards he came back smiling and said to us , "God has given me a son and that is the best gift from God.
His mother described that , "when my son came to the world , he put his head on the ground for prostration , and thanked God , and this is the sign of his Imamate."
When Imam Sadiq (A.S.) arrived at Medina , he laid the meal tables for as long as three days and invited all the afflicted and poor ones.
Yaqoob Siraj said , I happened to visit Imam Sadiq (A.S.) in Medina , I saw him near the cradle of his son Imam Musa Kazim (A.S.). I saluted him and he cheerfully greeted me. Then he said , Come near the Imam succeeding me and salute him.
I came close and saluted. The child responded eloquently and said , "God has given you a daughter to whom you have not chosen a good name. Go and change her name."
Imam kazem"s mother had been (A.S.) a maid who had been bought and freed by Imam Sadiq (A.S.) but as she was educated so well under the influence of Imam"s (A.S.) teachings she became an expert in religious problems. Such that , Imam (A.S.) used to order women to enquire the answer to their religious problems from her.
Imam"s (A.S.) life can be divided into two parts. 1. A period of 20 years during which Imam was by his father"s side in Medina before the beginning of his Imamate. 2. The period which was the beginning of campaign , prison , and exile and his Imamate.
Imam (A.S.) had a lean and thin body but a very strong and powerful soul. He used to put on rough clothes under his shirt. He walked on foot , saluted the people , loved his family members and respected them.
