The Tenth Infallible - Hazrat Imam Reza (A.S.)

    On 11th of ziqada , year 148 Hijrah , a son was born in the house of Imam Musa Ibn-e Jaffar (A.S.) who took over the position of Imam of Islam , after his father. He was named Ali and entitled Reza.
    The honorable and gracious mother of the Imam (A.S.) was Najmiyya , who was considered to be the most notable and distinguished lady in the realm of wisdom and faith.
    Right from the childhood period , he accompanied his father , Imam Musa Kazim (A.S.) who repeatedly told his friends that , "he is Imam after me."
    Such that , Makhzoomi has said: one day Imam Musa Ibn-e Jaffar (A.S.) summoned and gathered us and said , "I have invited you to be witnesses that this child (son) is my executor , and successor." Since , an extremely choking atmosphere and pressure prevailed at the time of Imam (A.S.) he said in the end of his words , "what I have said must remain secret with you and must not be reproduced to anybody unless you know he is one of our friends and companions
    The infallible Imams were God"s selected ones and outstanding , distinguished and superior to all the people. They were the ideal example for others during their lives. They taught the lesson of life to people. They did not segregate and separate themselves from them and did not lead their lives on liked the tyrants and oppressors. They never ignored or disrespected anyone.
    Sheikh Saduk has narrated through the words of Ibrahim bin Abbas that , "I never saw Imam Reza (A.S.) being cruel to anyone when talking or interrupting anybody"s speech before its coming to end. He would not stretch his legs in the presence of others. When the meal table was laid he would invite the servants to it , and take his meals with them.
    At nights , after taking some rests , he would get up and engage himself in the prayers. Similar to his fore fathers he carried food to the houses of the , afflicted ones in the middle of the nights.
    "Mohammad bin Abi Ebad" has said about Imam (A.S.) "He used mats made of palm leaves , straws and rush in the summer and woolen carpets in the winter. He led a simple life in his house
    but when he went out he would dress up and put on new and clean clothes. He respected and honored his guests to the extent that one night when one of the lamps in the house went out , the guest got to his feet to put it right. Imam (A.S.) made him sit down and set the lamp right himself , and said , "do not let our guests to serve us."
    Yasir , Imam"s servant said , "Imam (A.S.) said to us , "whenever you are busy taking your meal , if I call you , do not get un till you have finished up eating."
