Eleven villages of Tehran province are expected to become tourism targets, said a tourism expert.

Ali Rafiei said studies are presently underway by the members of the province’s Tourism Workgroup, ISNA reported.

He noted that the workgroup is in charge of conducting studies on villages based on the determined criteria, stressing that 20 organizations should approve the results of their studies.

The official said Pasqaleh Village in Darband and Sangan Village on Imamzadeh Davoud Road are among villages introduced for the purpose.

Meanwhile, governor of Natanz, Isfahan province, said a part of Rayan Tourism Village will be opened in May 2013.

According to CHTN, the village, located 30 km from Natanz on the foothill of Karkas Mountains, is 2,500 meters above the sea level.

The executive operations of the project have been launched in 2009 in an area of 100 hectares.

The first phase of the project, which includes 30 villas, a traditional restaurant, a teahouse, a fast food, an artificial lake and cycling and horse racing tracks, is near completion.

The cable cars and ski resort of the village are expected to be built in the second phase of the project. A five-star hotel will be constructed in the third phase.
