Iran condemns Pakistan bus attack

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman condemned an attack on a passenger bus in Pakistan’s southwestern province of Balochistan which killed dozens of Shia Muslims.

Ramin Mehmanparast offered his condolences to the families of the victims and said the attack was a blind act of violence to sow discord among various ethnicities and religious denominations in Pakistan.

He also hoped that Pakistani officials would prevent repetition of such attacks by rapidly arresting perpetrators and bringing them to justice, a Foreign Ministry statement quoted him as saying.
