Bahraini regime forces injure protesters
Several anti-government protesters have been injured in the Bahraini city of Sitra when Saudi-backed regime forces opened fire on them.
According to Press TV, on Saturday, tens of thousands of anti-regime protesters attended the third and final day of a funeral procession for Ali Jawa, a 14-year-old boy who was killed by regime forces on Wednesday, August 31.
Activists say anti-riot police suddenly showed up at the funeral ceremony and began firing at the participants.
In addition, according to some reports, there have been casualties in the clashes.
Jawad was shot at close range, directly in the face, by a tear gas canister fired by Saudi-backed regime forces in the southern city of Sitra.
Hundreds of thousands of people have taken to the streets across the Persian Gulf state since the incident to condemn the murder of Jawad.
