Iran will foil US-Israeli ploys: VP
Iran’ s Vice President for parliamentary affairs Muhammad Reza Mirtajeddini has lauded the country’ s resistance against the West’ s 'excessive desires' in the region, stressing Tehran will strongly counter US-Israeli plots.
Resistance against the US hegemony and Israel’s threats has strengthened Iran’s power, Mirtajeddini told on Monday.
“Islamic Iran will not tolerate the West’s excessive desires and hegemony in the region and will strongly resist against US-Zionist plots,” he added.
The vice president stated that Iran has managed to make great achievements and has gained major victories thanks to its resistance against global arrogance and Israel over the past 32 years since the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
Insistence of the Iranian nation on the ideals of the Islamic Revolution has provided the country with “impressive opportunities” in the international scene, he said, adding Iran has turned into a model of resistance for regional nations.
He emphasized that Iran regards defending the region and Muslim countries as a “fundamental principle” and has made efforts to increase its defense might in proportion to threats posed against the country.
Mirtajeddini noted that Iran’s defense power poses no threat to any country and reiterated that the Islamic Republic will continue its resistance against arrogant powers.
