Iranian films line up for Italian festival
TEHRAN -- Seven Iranian films will go on screen at the “A Film for Peace” International Festival in Medea, Italy.
Jamshid Mojaddadi’s “Tractor Family” and “Bitter Milk” directed by Nasser Zamiri, which are produced by Khorasan-Razavi Department of Art Bureau, are among the contenders.
“Farewell Baghdad” by Mehdi Naderi, “Flamingo No.13” by Hamid Reza, “The Qandil Mountains” by Taha Karimi, “Shadows of Silence” and “Silhouette” by Shahriar Purseyedian are other films that will go on screen at the festival.
After Italy and Spain, Iran has submitted the largest number of films to the festival.
The 2011 awards ceremonies will take place on July 2 in Medea and on October 27, 2011 in London.
