Munich Film Fest to host Iranian film
The Iranian film, Salve, directed by Alireza Davoudnejad, is to be screened at the 29th Munich Film Festival.
This 95-min movie will be displayed along with 60 selected movies produced in 2010 and 2011.
The story is about a girl from a poor family who succumbs to addiction and runs away from home. Her grandmother follows her like a shadow in order to help her.
The film depicts a generation that is closer to their grandparents than their own parents. It is a story about the pain and misery of grandmothers who are struggling to free their grandchildren from the evils of time.
The movie casts are Ehteram Habibian, Tanaz Tabatabaei, Kobra Hasanzadeh, Reza Davoodnejad, Siavash Agha Muhammadi, Moharam Motamedi, Sajad Sepehri Shakib, Shirin Safari and Ali Davoudnejad.
Davoudnejad started his cinematic career as a scriptwriter when he was only 17 years old. He started to work not only as a director and a scriptwriter but also as a producer of his films.
The festival will open June 24, ending on July 2 in Munich, Germany.
