Iranian cartoonist selected for jury of Chinese contest
Iranian cartoonist Masud Shojaei Tabatabaii has been selected to judge the 3rd Chinese Red Man International Cartoon & Humor Contest along with five other jurors.
Of the three other jury members, one is coming from China, one from Italy and one from Germany.
Red Man is an online contest in which artists from all over the world are participating, Shojaei told the Persian service of MNA on Saturday, adding, “I have yet to be informed by the organizers of the exact date when judging will take place.”
The contest consists of three sections; cartoons, caricatures and animation, all with the central theme of disasters, earthquakes, floods, droughts and blizzards.
Shojaei who is the director of Iran’s Cartoon House is also judging the 5th Don Quichotte International Cartoon Contest, which this year is focusing on “Europe-Asia Bridge: Istanbul”. The results will be published on September 5.
