Ahmadinejad says U.S. will take dream of pressuring Iran into grave
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the enemies would take into grave the dream of putting “slightest pressure” on the sanction-hardened Iranian nation.
Ahmadinejad made the remarks in the joint meeting of administration and Majlis on Sunday night.
The enemies keep on saying that they intend to isolate Iran, but they must know this is Iran which will isolate them and “throw them to the dustbin of history”, Ahmadinejad stated.
In an address to European countries, Ahmadinejad asked: Do you think that if the Iranian people do not buy European products, anything special might happen?
He said Iran will turn sanctions into an opportunity and promote a new economic order in the world.
He went on to say that Iran has established special ties with at least 40 countries to reduce its independence in banking, insurance, economy, import and export on the capitalist world.
Referring to the United States’ call for talks with Iran, Ahmadinejad said Iran is always ready for talks but it is “you (U.S.) who are afraid of negotiations”.
If the enemies think that Iran will step back “an inch” from its legitimate nuclear rights through such propaganda campaigns and “childish remarks”, they are “totally mistaken”, he underlined.
During his speech, the president also asked the parliament to pay more attention to the government’s opinion regarding the implementation of the law while calling for increased unity between government and Majlis.
He also expressed government’s readiness to hold a joint meeting with parliament each month.
Commenting on the subsidy reform plan, the president said the implementation of the plan will turn into a “glory” of government and Majlis.
