How beautiful the spring dew on the rose's cheek,

How beautiful on the grass the face which illuminates the heart.

Of yesterday no past, whatever you say is displeasing,

Be happy; do not speak of yesterday, for today is so pleasant.

بر چهره ی گل شبنم نوروز خوش است

در صحن چمن روی دل افروزخوش است

از دی که گذشت هر چه گویی خوش نیست

خوشباش وز دی مگو که امروز خوش است
