Iran's president arrives in New York
Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived here on Monday morning to attend the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) review conference at the UN headquarters.
On arrival, President Ahmadinejad was welcomed by Iran’s permanent Representative to the United Nations Mohammad Khazaei and a number of Iranian diplomats.
Foreign Minister of Iran Manouchehr Mottaki, Senior Advisor to President Mojtaba Samareh-Hashemi, Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali-Akbar Salehi, Head of Presidential Office Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei, and Press Advisor to the President and Managing Director of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) Ali-Akbar Javan-Fekr are accompanying Ahmadinejad during his visit.
The nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) review conference starts work today. It is to wind up on May 28.
