English Translation :
Thou sawest that, save the desire of violence and of tyranny, my beloved aught-- had not.
First Mesra Translation:
He shattered the covenant; and, on account of our grief (at the shattering), grief-- had not.
Second Mesra Translation:

**- ديدي كه يار غير از ظلم و جور قصد ديگر نداشت ; عهد و پيمان خود را شكست و از اينكه دچار غم و اندوه شويم انديشه اي به خود راه نداد ـ مطلقاً قصد محبت و دلجوئي نداشت ،**
