Children and Religious Practitioners (Part 1)
Morning Prayers
Most parents have a problem with waking their children up for saying their morning prayers. Here are some solutions for this problem:
·Young adults need to have an accurate schedule for sleeping. Those who sleep late have problems waking up. Long afternoon naps might be the cause for that.
· Having a light meal for dinner could help them wake up fresher the next morning.
· Wake your children up in three phases in the morning. First, when you wake up. Second, when you are getting ready to say your prayers; and third, after you say your prayers. It is easier for young adults to wake up gradually. Stay up to read Qur’an in order to supervise your children’s saying their prayers.
· Wake your children up at a time that they could get back to sleep after saying their prayers. Knowing that they will be able to sleep some more, children will wake up and say their prayers.
· Do not shout at your children to wake them up. Go to them and wake them up with kind words and shake them lightly till they are awake.
· Some children and young adults enjoy being massaged on their back and necks. This could be an easy way to wake your children up.
